Do laser treatments for acne actually work?

hey. my friend had that done on her face. all i know is it it got away some of the red blemishes. her face was really bad. im pretty sure it didnt help her that much. so yeah, sorry i wasnt much help =P
Yes, there are very effective laser treatments for acne scars. These are performed in a cosmetic dermatologist’s office and they combine ablative and non ablative treatments to reduce scars and reduce redness. Micro laser acne peels are quite effective. For active acne the dermatologist can perform other treatments, from deep cleaning and resurfacing to BHA and other acid peels that clean the skin, clean out the pores and help restore the form and function of the pore lining. Additionally the dermatologist has other non-laser light based treatments for acne including intense UV therapy. Do go to a registered and licensed dermatologist, don’t go to a spa that doesn’t have trained medical staff. Lasers can be dangerous if the user isn’t properly trained. There are also some skin types that shouldn’t use lasers, and some medications contra-indicate laser treatments and the medications thin the skin.
Laser treatments are not cheap and are not covered by many health plans. It is a medical treatment procedure so consult a doctor and do be aware of any and all downsides of laser skin treatments. They will know all the pros and cons and any side effects.
