What’s the best acne product/treatment for (african american) dark skin?
I hаνе oily skin, mild acne, аnd dаrk spots (frοm peeling previous breakouts). I hаνе tried Proactiv, аnd Neutrogena аnd nеіthеr οf thеm worked. Even іf уουr’e nοt african american, whаt dο уου thіnk wουld work fοr mе?
If you have a zit or blemish ( i know this will sound crazy ) but put toothpaste on it. This will dry out the blemish… do this before you go to bed. If that doesnt… and since you have already tried Proactiv … give your Dermatologist a shout!

Hey, I’m an Asian dude, but my skin isreally oily too, I have mild acne and scarring from older breakouts just like you. I also tried Proactiv and all that “amazing” stuff and they don’t do anything. They actually made it worse. I just didn’t give an eff anymore, then my mom bugs me to go to an actual skin doctor for them to look at. So I did and they prescribed me pills, a day cream and night lotion. These worked really well, the acne stopped, all that was left was scarring. I recommend it, my skins still oily but it doesn’t bug me that much. The acne stopped and they said that I could either wait for time to heal the scars or do a treatment that takes about 3-4 visits I think. I just waited lol, it’s clearing up right now so I think this would be good for you

EDIT- Don’t do that toothpaste thing, I tried it and it dried out the pimple, but it left a huge red mark on my face. It’s good for making your face less oily, but it’s not good for your skin, my doctor said so. I even heard some people saying that when they did it, even more pimples broke out. It helps some people, but I wouldn’t take that chance lol
