try cleaning it with alcohol but go to a dermatologist to look at it
Have you tried proactiv? I use it and it works just fine.
OMG are you serious? That’s exactly what I have! I’ve had it for over a year now, and it’s just scars now that won’t go away!

2 dont use scnted soap, body wash or lotions
3 dont lie on ur back
4 dont eat oily or sugary foods and cut down coffee
5 if have long hair keep it off ur back

7 once ur acne goes down, do body scrub using neutrogena daily scrub to remove the top layer of dead skin.
8 dust baby heat-rush powder when ever ur body feels itchy or sweaty. this reduces the stickiness and itchiness

and if u doesnt want go to dermatologyst, maybe a ginecologyst can be help u! may be is a hormonal acne!
This worked for me, trust me it iwll work for you. Buy an aloe plant, ur mom should know where to buy one. Cut off a leaf of it and put the aloe on ur spots where the acne is, after that put baby powder on those spot to keep the aloe on the acne. Mine went away in a matter of a week of doing it every night before u sleep
Don’t worry, nobody will think you are ugly because you have acne. I know a lot of girls your age who do. Maybe they are just hiding theirs too so you don’t realize it. Visine can take the redness out of your pimples. You could also try Proactive on them. For the scars try cocobutter or Mederma. Best of luck :]
You should definetley try proactive, but the best bet is to go to a dermatalogist. sorry for the bad spelling lol.
yea u see every1 is a acne or pimples on their body…i mean i only have it on my face only abit…but i use clear now…uuse that that rele helps..that got rid of my pimples…black heads..
Several contributing factors, such as:
Perspiration:
Tight clothing, or clothing that doesn’t breathe well. People who work out in tight clothing may be especially prone to body acne.
Backpacks: your back sweats while carrying one.
Genetics: if your parents or other family members suffer from body acne, you may too.
Nutrition: Poor nutrition may contribute to all forms of acne.
Hormones: especially in women, who can develop acne as a result of elevated levels of male hormones, or androgens, which control the body’s production of sebum.
SOLUTIONS:
Since the skin is tougher, body acne will need to be treated differently than acne on the face and neck.
Wear natural fibers, or fabrics specifically engineered to wick moisture away from the skin. This is especially important if you’re working out.
Stop carrying a backpack until the acne clears. Carry a bag with your hands instead.
Shower as soon as possible after perspiring
Wash the affected areas with a cleanser designed for acne prone skin.
After allowing the skin to dry, apply a product containing benzoyl peroxide to the affected areas. Remember that benzoyl peroxide will bleach fabric if you plan on getting dressed before it dries, wear white.
If you often suffer from dry skin, moisturize, using a non-comedongenic moisturizer. Excessively dry skin can lead to breakouts.
See your doctor about prescription treatment options, such as Isotretinoin (Accutane), oral and topical antibiotics.
The best natural cure is tea tree oil (ALWAYS WORKS)! It is a natural cleanser and always good old aloe vera!
There are a few things you can try. It could be types of material that do not allow the body to breathe in. If the body gets too sweaty and cloged up thats when achne occurs. So try more cotton, breezy and flowy clothes. You could also try proactive. I use it on my face, neck and shoulders as those are my problem area’s. You could bath in epsom salts 2-3 times a week. You could also go on the pill aka birth control, just to balance out your hormone level. Your also just 16 yrs old. Your hormones are out of wack atm just give it a bit of time and it will hopefully eventually calm down. I know mine did. And don’t hate yourself or call yourself ugly. No one is perfect despite appearances.
I have had the same problem since I was about 25 (I’m 31 now). I really can relate to how you feel, no swimsuits, tank tops, plus I sometime have to wear collars if it is up high. One thing I have found works is to make a past of baking soda and water and put it on your back (I know it’s hard to reach all those areas, just do the best you can). Let it sit until it hardens and take a shower or bath to rinse it off. I do this once a week, but you could do it more often if you wanted.
I am also taking huge amounts of pantothenic acid (B5), which has dramatically cleared up my skin everywhere. Here is an informational link, I don’t buy this company’s product but it is full of info you might wish to share with your parents. http://www.skinb5.com/
I just buy mine from the health food store and it costs around $52.00 a month, but it is well worth it!! It and the baking soda are the first things I have ever tried that actually worked, I wish I would have known about the b5 a long time ago.
Hi.
I’m not a 16 year old girl, I’m a 37 year old man, and I have always had the problem you describe.
I will watch out for your answers, but doubt you will find one that helps.
Try changing your diet, and not just once, but often until you find one that works for you.
As a starting place, try changing cows milk for goats milk.
If that fails, try no milk.
Dairy produce is often the cause.
I have learned to live with it.
No one is perfect, and I am sure your qualities out-way your imperfections.
Good luck.
I’m a dance performer and you’d be surprised by how many people have body acne, mainly on their back. Because obviously you see it w/ certain costumes. The best thing to do is don’t fret over it. If you make a big deal about it people are sure to notice it more. My sister has the same problem. Her face has basically no acne but her back is terrible. I have some back acne but just a few blackheads but my face has terrible acne. Heck I’d much rather have body acne than facial acne any day.
Anyway, what I heard works is using your face products on the affected area. Try using a medicated cream that contains sallycillic (sp) acid. It works even better than benzoyl perodixe (sp again haha) … and I’ve used both
I’m a 15 year old with horrible body acne too. Everybody always says "use proactive!" But I spent 70 dollars on all of proactives products, and none of it worked! Instead, I went to walmart and found two products. There is this box which is just like proactive, but it worked. It was called acnefree. It’s just three easy steps. That helped most of my acne. For the difficult stuff, I bought clean and clear 8 hour. It will reduce and eliminate break outs instantly. It’s supposed to get rid of your acne in 8 hours, but it took 4 days for me, but i used the pads twice a day. Good luck!
Body acne can be no fun I know I used to have it but I finally got rid of it. I would not worry so much I am sure it is not as bad as you think it is.
You have to attack acne where it starts, with your diet. For me, diet was the cause and solution. Topical medications fight the symptoms. Start by eliminating trans fats and eating more fruits and vegetables. Once you start cleaning up the inside of your body, by eating properly, the outside of your body (your skin) will be get cleaned up too. I started a website to document my problem and solution.

You might find it helpful to read my story. Just remember to eat an all natural/organic diet with lots of fruits and vegetables. Stay away from processed foods. Use mild, all natural cleansers and don’t pick at your face. Get lots of sleep and enough water for your body weight. Remember, clean body = clean skin. While you’re waiting for your skin to clear, remind yourself that acne is a challenge that you will overcome soon. Once you’re rid of it, tell all your friends how you did it. That’s what I’m doing. God Bless.
