My boyfriend has extremely acne prone skin. His face is fairly clear, but he was acne on his chest, back, thighs, and shoulders. He’s tried prescription pills and pro active. The proactive just made him break out more. He’s also tried other acne creams from the store.

What can he do to help the acne?

bare minerals or Physician’s Formula makeup?

for someone who has oily acne prone skin mostly in the t zone. and for someone who rarely or never wears any make up.

Hey, i’m 16 turning 17 and i have a big problem with acne. Its more on my cheeks and chin and sometimes but rarely on my for head.. ive tried a lot of different moisturizers, creams and cleansers over the past 2 years and only some have worked for a short time until i get immunity and my skin gets scarred and dry.

Are there any facial cleansers and moisturizer combinations that work really well for dry acne prone skin ?

I have acne prone skin. My skin is usually very oily, like when i wake up, but lately the centre of my forehead, my nose, and the tops of my cheeks are EXTREMELY dry. I need a moisturizer that will repair the damage and make my skin dewy without clogging pores or making me break out. Also, i need this to be cheap and available at Wal-mart, Super Value, or shoppers drug mart. PLEASE HELP ME!!

My skin is very dry without acne cleansers, but I am breaking out horribly. I think it may be my cleanser, so I figured I would finish out my old cleanser (but that one is very drying). So what is a good moisturizer for dry, acne-prone skin? Mineral oil DOES break me out :(

I have lots of thick, curly hair, and as a result need to use hair products. I’ve gone without using anything more than a few times a month for a while, but I really do need something smooth the curls and keep them shapely, or a straightening/heat protectant lotion for when I blow-dry it and use a straightening iron. I have no problem finding products that work, but then my skin ends up suffering because washing product out every night would kill my hair. I have extremely acne-prone skin, and have yet to find anything that makes my hair look great without making my skin break out worse. Anyone out there have any suggestions?
Also, price isn’t an issue- a quality product is worth the cost.
I do use proactiv- that wasn’t the question.

What daily vitamin do you recommend to take if I have acne prone skin? I would like to reduce the acne, and I also have dry skin sometimes. So, I guess what I’m saying is that I would like to find a vitamin that could help with reducing acne, and just be all around good for skin to make it healthy & stuff. Thanks.

What is a foundation for my acne prone skin that i can get under 12 dollars that wont make me brakeout?

I have acne prone skin but my face gets dry sometimes and it flakes. I need a good brand of tinted moisturizer that I can use to moisturize and cover blemishes but is gentle on the skin. Thanks for your help!

I have oily, acne-prone skin. I have been looking for some different makeup to try. I would also really like to use a primer but am afraid of it causing acne. I’ve heard that the oil-free primer from Laura Mercier is good for acne-prone skin. I’ve also heard tha the Laura Mercier foundation is good for acne-prone skin.
Any thoughts?
Mike - thanks for the input. I have already been to the dermatologist and have acne meds but was asking about cosmetics. Thanks.
