I am nearly 17 and have had acne for 6 years which has left me with hideous scars all over my face. I would like to get them removed via laser treatment but do not know at what age i can get this done. Putting make up on all day every day is tiring and expensive. I even have to do it before my hockey and basketball games on saturday mornings (who wears make up to play sport!?!?) Please help me - i look awful with no make up on and am desperate to feel pretty once again.

I’m 14 years old and I have some pretty bad acne. I wanted to go to dermatologist to get rid of them, but my mom says that the things they prescribe will make me stop growing or lose hair. Is this true? Also, how much does laser treatment usually cost? Should a 14 year old who is still growing get laser treatment? I already tried ProActiv and AcneFree but they don’t seem to do anything at all, sometimes they make my acne a little worse. Right now, I’m just washing my face with soap morning and night, and i just wash with water after i get home from school at around 3:00

Has anyone gotten this type of laser treatment for their acne or acne scars? I’m nervous about it but hate my scars and even though I’ve been using retin-a, I still break out. I’m just nervous about side effects from the laser, such as swelling or not even noticing a difference. Any advice?

I’ve tried many creams and over the counter products, I’ve gotten prescription cream from dermatologists, and I even used Proactiv Solution before (which didn’t work for me).

So, I’m looking into getting laser-acne treatment, which I’m hoping would be my last resort.

I have a mild case of acne on my face, nothing severe though.

So before getting laser acne treatment, could someone tell me if its effective at all? Like does it completely rid of the acne
after the procedure is done? How does it work and how much does it cost?
And please, no answers suggesting that I should stick with creams or any recommendations of creams that had worked for people.

I would like accurate and conclusive information from people who know or have experience pertaining to laser-acne treatment.

Also, I’m planning to use laser treatment for my entire face.

I used to have acne, and they left a few scars, so I’m thinking of maybe getting laser treatment.
But it makes me feel kinda uncomfortable to think ‘Hey, I’m going to get plastic surgery.’

So does it count as cosmetic/plastic surgery?

And if anyone knows any good natural remedies for acne scars, that would be greatly appreciated! =)

I have tried absolutely everything for my moderate-severe acne (I even took accutane twice), and it’s still awful. I’m 17, and I’ve had acne since I was 13. Is it worth getting some sort of a laser treatment, even though it’s very expensive? Does anyone know if results are guaranteed, or if I do get good results would my acne come back a couple months later?

Ok. So just recently (like a couple of months ago) i had one of the biggest breakouts of my life. I have used just about every over-the-counter acne treatment system on the market. I have scheduled an appointment with the dermatologist for a Smoothbeam treatment. I am so sick of my acne its hard to look in the mirror. I was wondering if anyone has had a laser treatment done and how long was it before you saw results, if any.
