Since going off my birth control to try to conceive, my acne has flared big time. My dermatologist does not recomend using over the counter acne medicine such as Persa-Gel which contains benzoyle peroxide becuase it is unknown if it is safe for pregnant women or women who are trying to conceive. I have used Proactive in the past and it has worked really well for me. I am not pregnant but am trying to conceive. Ultimately I plan to consult my OBGYN on this but I’m curious to find out what information others have.
does any regular scar medicine work on acne scars? if so name some brands that are or were good for you, inexpensive preferably!
are there any home scar healing remedies? if you know of anything please list it. thank you so much!
Hi
I have PCOS, which has acne as one symptom. It’s not as sever as it could be, but I’d still like to clear it up. I’m not too into medicine, and also do not want to go on birth control or anything to get rid of this particular symptom. Any suggestions for natural home remedies or inexpensive organic products that work well for facial acne? I also have some acne around my body. Thanks!

I have had problems with acne for most of my teen years and i am now 18 almost 19 in a couple of months. Originally i had acne only on my face and i took medicine to make that go away. Now that my face acne has gone away my body acne has sparked up dramatically. I have acne all over my arms and back and it is very embarrassing for me to take my shirt off etc. I was wondering if somebody could give me some things to help get rid of my body acne…Thank You!
I have acne all over my face. On my cheeks it seems red but I break out most on my forehead and on the side of my face. its hereditary acne, my dad had acne problems when he was a teen, so I cant take medicine to get rid of the bacteria (ive tried already)
what products and brand should i try?
ive heard neutrogena stress control cream cleanser with glycolic acid is best. thoughts??
Oh and medicine I took already was Doxycycline.
Using Differin prescribed by my doctor, expensive and useful to treat ance but can not prevent it. Any good medicine you have used which can prevent and treat acne? Also any good skin clinic can treat the scar caused by acne? and how much for such surgy?
I used to suffer from cystic acne. However I went to a dermatologist and he prescribed some topical cream called differin. The medicine did wonders for my skin. I also have a neighbor who’s son used it and he had a different type of acne (teenager) and it cleared his skin up completely. This is my question, a co-worker has really bad acne and so does my hairdresser. I would love to suggest this product for them under their dr’s advice of course but if it doesn’t come up in conversation, is there a tactful way to suggest it or just leave it alone?
I have a minor acne problem on my chin and the corner of mouth. I recently went to the dermatologist to find out how to get rid of it. She prescribed oral medication that treats acne. My question is how does the oral medicine know where the acne is and how does it clear it up? I guess I’m just really skeptical about this whole thing. Thanks!
OK so I just started using this new acne medicine last night. It’s not proactive but it’s just like it. I’ve read that your acne will get worse before it gets better. Is this true? And if so, why? Is it because it brings the bacteria to the surface?
Oh, and if it does get worse before it gets better, should I pop the pimples or should I let the medicine do it’s trick?
